Description: FutureFuel Chemical Company in Batesville, Arkansas in an ISO 9001, BQ 9000, OSHA VPP Star site with over 500 employees. We specialize in custom and toll manufacturing as well as dedicated customer facilities on our site. The site is 2,200 acres with approximately 400 acres developed. It is self contained with on site biological waste water treatment and hazardous liquid incineration. In its thirty year history first as an Eastman Kodak photography chemicals plant and then a dedicated Eastman Chemical Company fine chemicals plant, this location has practiced a wide range of different physical operations and complex multi-step organic syntheses. Our unique blend of engineering and chemistry expertise; plus our fully instrumented analytical lab benefits us in process development and improvement. Beyond our everyday multi-step batch processing, we are very adept at developing semi-continuous and continuous processes. In addition to traditional organic chemistries, this site is now also focusing on renewable biofuels. We are currently the largest biodiesel and glycerin producer in the mid-south region.
