SOCMA was thrilled to honor this year’s Performance Improvement Award winners at a celebratory dinner and awards presentation during the 2022 SOCMA Summit. It was the perfect way to set the festive atmosphere for celebrating specialty chemical manufacturers who are leading the way in environmental, health and safety initiatives.
Thirty-four teams of Specialty Chemical Industry professionals took to the 18-hole course on June 27 at Dunes West Golf & River Club for some friendly competition and industry networking. SOCMA has held this tournament annually to connect the industry and support the next generation of chemical industry professionals by donating to the American Chemical Society’s Scholars Program.
SOCMA members and guests from 10 companies in the Houston and Louisiana region weighed in on the outlook for the specialty chemical industry over the next five years, how they are addressing capacity and labor constraints and future fluctuations, and regulatory and sustainability/EGS topics. These thoughts were shared during a SOCMA Regional Roundtable on June 16, 2022, hosted at Halliburton in Houston, TX.
More than 950 attendees were onsite at the Specialty & Custom Chemicals Show, making the first in-person industry event a resounding success. The Exhibit Hall was active with business-critical conversations, Exhibitor Showcases delivered up-close presentations on company capabilities, and conference sessions delivered timely intel and industry experience. And, each day held networking events full of activity and relationship-building. Check out the photos from the entire #SOCMAShow experience!
The inaugural Cowboys & Chemicals Networking Event brought together both SOCMA members and non-members from across the specialty and fine chemicals supply chain. The event provided a unique opportunity to network, in addition to hosting insightful panels and education sessions.
