At SOCMA, safety is our utmost priority year-round. As we embrace the summer months, our commitment to ensuring a safe and secure work environment remains steadfast. Summer of Safety focuses on equipping our members with the knowledge, tools, and resources necessary to navigate safely through the season.

Why Summer of Safety?

Focused Attention: We’re dedicating this season to intensively focus on safety measures, protocols, and awareness brought by increased risk of summer condition.

Seasonal Risk: Address specific summer hazards such as heat stress, PPE discomfort, equipment malfunction and worker fatigue.

Situational Awareness: Enhance awareness, preparedness, and proactive measures to ensure a safe summer.

What to Expect?

We’re kicking off Summer of Safety on June 25 and is set to run for a full 8 weeks.
Throughout the summer months, we’ll be rolling series of engaging activities, informative sessions, and practical resources aimed at reinforcing safety awareness across our specialty chemical industry.

Safety Moments

Workplace safety moments are brief discussions on safety related topics designed to reinforce safety knowledge and everyone’s commitment to positive safety culture.

The benefits of having a safety moment:

Offer quick and simple “refresher” training that builds on and reinforces more formal safety training
Present safety information in an engaging and easy-to-digest way for people with lower attention spans
Prevent workers from being overwhelmed with too much information all at once
Help build a strong safety culture within your organization
