In his new role, Schwartz will oversee IPP’s worldwide operations and strategic initiatives aimed at expanding the company’s global footprint and scaling its differentiated asset solutions across the process manufacturing industry.
“Working with the Gales and the entire IPP team over the past several months has shown me how dynamic the global team and market opportunities are for the company, and the strength of IPP’s value proposition. I am very excited to be joining the IPP leadership team and to be working closely with its founders to accelerate its growth and global presence while positioning the company for an exciting future,” Schwartz said of his appointment.
Schwartz’s background uniquely blends technical and commercial roles, with an extensive record of accomplishments in the global industrial sector – including full P&L and operational leadership. He most recently served from 2018 to 2024 as Chief Executive Officer and board member of Isolatek International, a global manufacturer of fire protection materials.
Prior to that, Schwartz served as Managing Director NA for Perstorp’s Specialty and Solutions division and held executive leadership roles at Arkema, where he led the company’s ~$300 million Functional Additives and Surfactants division and served as Group President NA for the Thiochemicals division. He had global leadership roles in the U.S. and France.
“After collaborating with Scott as a strategic adviser over the past eight months – particularly on our fast-growing process systems and equipment venture, Gale Process Solutions (GPS) – we are excited to formally welcome him as our COO,” said Ronald Gale, President of IPP.
Jan Gale, IPP’s Executive Vice President, said “Scott’s operational acumen and leadership in both large-scale industrials and agile, mid-cap companies position him perfectly to join us in leading IPP through our next phase of growth.”
As COO, Schwartz will lead efforts to enhance operational efficiency to support the advancing of key strategic initiatives that deliver turnkey value to clients in the chemical, pharmaceutical and process manufacturing sectors.
“His depth of experience in global operations, P&L management and commercial execution will help drive value across the IPP Group of Companies as we continue to support our clients in the rapid redeployment of process assets worldwide,” IPP Vice President Ross Gale said.
Schwartz holds an MBA from Seton Hall University and dual BS/BA degrees in Chemical
Engineering and Business Administration from Rutgers University. He also is a member of the JumpStart NJ Angel Network, reflecting his ongoing commitment to entrepreneurship and innovation in industrial technologies.
