SOCMA Responds to Passage of the One Big Beautiful Bill Act
The Society of Chemical Manufacturers and Affiliates (SOCMA) welcomes the inclusion of expanded R&D tax credits in the One Big Beautiful Bill Act that will help America remain on the cutting edge of technological advancement.
The Act’s restoration of the R&D tax credit to year-of-expense treatment provides important support for specialty chemical manufacturers. This provision will enable companies across our industry to increase investments in breakthrough technologies and develop custom solutions for emerging market needs.
“The passage of this legislation affirms what we’ve long advocated: that robust R&D tax incentives are essential for maintaining our nation’s leadership in specialty chemistry,” said Robert Helminiak, VP of Legal & Government Relations. “This represents meaningful progress for American manufacturing competitiveness.”
SOCMA remains committed to representing the voices of American chemical innovators and advocating for policies that enable our industry to drive economic growth and manufacturing leadership.
