Custom Processing Services Celebrates 25 Years of Partnership, Performance & Possibility
Reading, PA — Custom Processing Services, Inc. (CPS) is proud to celebrate 25 years of partnering with manufacturers to solve complex processing challenges through custom toll processing. What began in 2000 as a two-person startup in a single Reading, PA facility has grown into a team of more than 170 employees operating multiple specialized processing facilities across Southeastern Pennsylvania.
Co-founders President Gregg Shemanski and Vice President Jeff Klinger built CPS on one core belief: customers deserve a processing partner that delivers speed, consistency, and technical expertise — every single time. In the early days, the two handled sales, production, shipping, and even late-night equipment repairs themselves. Their hard work paid off as CPS quickly became known for cutting customer lead times by 4x while delivering first-time-right results that set new expectations in the industry.
Today, CPS supports a wide range of industries with a full suite of services — from advanced particle size reduction and air classification to blending, separations, liquid bottling, and integrated multi-step workflows — often serving as a single processing partner from R&D through commercial scale.
