The Society of Chemical Manufacturers & Affiliates (SOCMA) just wrapped up its inaugural SOCMA Week in New Orleans and is pleased to announce that 13 companies have joined the innovative community of specialty and fine chemical manufacturers, distributors and service providers in the second half of 2019.

SOCMA acknowledges and is grateful for EPA’s ongoing work to resolve the backlog of new chemical notices, to streamline the review process for submissions, and to adopt more realistic assumptions about workplace protections. However, we continue to hear from our members that the current program still lacks predictability and transparency.

SOCMA Re-Elects Gene Williams as Board of Governors Chair

The Society of Chemical Manufacturers & Affiliates (SOCMA) is pleased to announce that Gene Williams, President of Optima Chemical Group, was re-elected today as Chairman of its Board of Governors. The association also re-elected officers to serve on its Executive Committee and added six new members to the Class of 2022 during its 98th Annual Business Meeting Thursday, December 5, in New Orleans.
